Full Rebrand
HBO Max launched Scene in Black, a social-first initiative celebrating black stories. This platform focuses on connecting HBO and HBO Max’s Black talent, creatives, and fans. The goal of Scene in Black is to celebrate the strides Black artists have made over time, while focusing on the future. With a breadth of Black-led award-winning shows like “Insecure,” “I May Destroy You,” “A Black Lady Sketch Show” and “The Wire,” plus “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” and “A Different World” via HBO Max.
HBO Max came to us for an entire rebrand of Scene in Black. We refreshed the logo, and gave the brand edge that reflects expression, authenticity, and amplification within Scene in Black. This dynamic visual system draws people in, and is a vehicle for all the voices within the network. With contrasting typography, a deliberate color palette, and overall movement through gradient and shape, we have the ability to showcase expression and texture through form.
